Datuk Wan Junaidi, the rakyat (at least I am) is behind you on this matter. There is no need for you to apologise.
We want to see an improvement on our MPs presence in the Dewan Rakyat. To the few MP who have responded to this matter are those who we know have brought several issues during the session. And, those who knows that they are bisu in Parliament won’t dare to respond to this matter.
Let us see who are the MPs that would be on your door to protest.
Dewan Rakyat deputy speaker Datuk Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar said, “Just don’t sit at the back there so much so that people do not know where you are. You’ll be surprised that some ministers do not know you because you never speak …” Read the full news extract.
Thank you Datuk for highlighting this issue. The rakyat has been having that view for a very long time. We did raise it up in various forum, coffeeshop talks, etc. Yesterday it came from you, and, we appreciate it so much. Beside the more vocal MP like Dato Seri Tiong, we hardly heard from the rest. Errr.. even this MP also goes on silent mode this days!
We too have wondered if the MPs know the purpose of being at the Dewan Rakyat. Look at the poor state of our infrastructure. Their speeches in the rural longhouses almost mean nothing because it just ended there. The only obvious reason is to look capable of delivering public speeches.
The common phrase we hear is “Anang enda ngundi perintah, enggai ke kita tinggal pemansang“. Ya rite! After that? What? “Ukai enda diaduka, tang peruntukkan bedau datai“..
Kati ka datai enti mulut YB bisu, sekretari enda ngereja pengawa.. Ka betaun nganti enda mih datai.Semampai ngarap belama.
Flashed right on the front page of our MPs being too quiet! It is shame of you who only knows how to deliver kampung speeches but put you at the national level.
Bisi aja saut bala sida MP tu dua tiga hari ke ka datai.. being quiet doesn’t mean we do not help or serve the rakyat.. ya right! Beciping!
