Six months is all Rich Venture need, opposition whacking BN in Sibuti

Photo taken on 4th January 2012 showing the delayed road construction (on the left of the photo).

The dual carriage way to Taman Tunku/Taman Jelita and Taman Tunku Phase 3 is supposed to be completed in February 2011. But today, almost a year has gone by, the residents of nearby housing areas and kampungs have yet to enjoy the new road.

The delay was partly due to some squatters resistant to dismantle their homes which were built along the path of the new road. With the help of YB Tuan Hj. Ahmad Lai and the Land & Survey Dept., the squatters issue was recently solved. All six squatters agreed to move to a new site at Kampung Lusut Jaya.

With all the issues being settled, we do not see any reason for further delay by Rich Venture, the contractor of the project. Six months is all we need, said Mr. Hii (the owner of Rich Venture).

Unfortunately, the people do not see or understand of this issues. The GE13 is coming up fast and the opposition will be focusing on this delayed project. Any further delay will be seen as an act to sabotage the BN candidate for this Parliamentary seat of Sibuti.

Tagging Tuan Hj Ahmad Lai, the working Yang Berhormat of Sebuti

Photo taken on 10th September 2011

A resident of Kampung Lusut Jaya tagged me at Facebook with the photo above on 10th September 2011. The bridge needed to be repair as soon as possible to avoid any accident from happening. And, I did a quick tag to friends at the Works Dept and our Member of Parliament for Sebuti, YB Tuan Hj. Ahmad Lai.

Phone numbers were exchanged and we got in touch with the engineering unit at JKR Miri to request for the appreciate repair job. As usual we are asked to write-in and the letter needs (will be better) to be from the Ketua Masyarakat of Kampung Lusut. Getting this done may require a little bit of time.

Simultaneously, our friends at JASA Miri managed to contact YB Tuan Hj and alert him of the problem.

Today, 16th September 2011, repair work is being done (as we write this post) and YB Tuan Hj is on the ground to monitor the repair work himself. Despite the fact that today is a holiday, we still have a working Yang Berhormat, where his presence and effort is much appreciated.

The announcement by YAB Ketua Menteri that YB Tuan Hj may be nominated to defend Sebuti is most welcome and we urge the voters in Lambir (PBB) and Bekenu (SPDP) to give their votes to the Barisan Nasional candidate during the next coming General Election.

If there is any problems in your area or place that need urgent action, give us a tag at Facebook (with the photos), and we will be glad to connect you to the relevant agencies.

Thank you to Ucho Nuing and daughter for highlighting the bridge, to Dixon (JKR Kuching), Louis (JKR Miri), Lukanisman (JASA Miri) and of course to YB Tuan Hj Ahmad Lai for his fast action.

Selamat Hari Malaysia to all.

Sepupok patiently waiting for a piece of the RM3.4billion

This photos will give us a better explanation of what the rakyat would expect from the RM3.4billion fund announced by our YAB Prime Minister recently. Despite being a stronghold area of the Barisan Nasional, and a merely 4.5km from Batu Niah Bazaar, where a water treatment plant is located, the rakyat from Skim Sepupok has yet to get their share of clean and treated water supply. Will it become a reality by the end of 2012?

The school above is well connected to the power grid, but the water problem is just unbearable, especially during this dry season. Imagine the students’ kidney having to filter all that….!

This is where the students’ get their water supply! Read more at Utusan Borneo.

The nearest source of water could be this Sungai Sebatu.

And the photo below is the “upgraded” part of Sungai Sebatu. It is also the bathing place for the residents of Tr. Ngindang.

A photo of Tr. Ngindang’s longhouse.

We leave it to YAB Prime Minister to change the scene of this pipe within the next three years.

And, to the YBs concerned, please do not wait for the rakyat to beg and wait, because it is your duties to deliver. The Tuai Rumah is not educated enough to write a good and impressive formal letter to ask for water supply. It is good enough to request verbally during randau sessions and for the YBs office to follow up with formal letters and seek funding from the Federal agencies.

We can see it, and we must act on it!
