Laksa Sarawak

LAKSA SARAWAK is a traditional Sarawakian dish. It is a flavourful and aromatic noodle soup that is loved by locals and visitors alike.

Laksa Sarawak is known for its rich and fragrant broth, which is made from a combination of spices, dried shrimp, lemongrass, and tamarind. The soup is typically thickened with coconut milk, giving it a creamy texture.

The dish is usually served with rice vermicelli noodles, along with prawns, chicken, bean sprouts, and sliced omelette. It is garnished with fresh herbs like mint and coriander, and a squeeze of lime adds a tangy kick.

Laksa Sarawak is a delicious blend of flavors, with the spiciness of the broth balanced by the creaminess of the coconut milk. It is a must-try dish for anyone visiting Sarawak or those who want to explore the diverse culinary delights of Malaysia.

There are many kopitiam in Miri City that sells laksa Sarawak. This morning I had the opportunity to have laksa for breakfast at Hong Yung Cafe, which is located at Morsjaya Commercial Centre. Their bean sprouts are fresh and crunchy and the broth taste like those laksa in Kuching.

If you happen to be a laksa lover and is in Miri, do give this laksa a try!
