I don’t blame you. You are right, too many politicians jump to conclusion that all blogs are anti-govt.
We will need a good soild effort to publicise that not all blogs are like that.
Emm, emm, I have been covering for you guys in a few occassions recently. Apparently, your [Rumah Dayak dot com] recent effort with Mercy raised a few eye brows. Dont worry, I will continue to ‘cover’ your backside whenever some politicians raise concern.
Dayak bloggers I associate with are friends. I have no problems with that. YEs, I will continue to cover your back as long as we are on the same right track….

Dr Robert Resneck’s formula: E(event) + R(response) – O(outcome)….so you’ve control over how to response, if you don’t like the outcome, CHANGE your response or no response….whatever can be created mentally can always be translated into physical reality…whatever opinions or imagination that cropped up in the mind may be … transmutted into possibilities…so we cannot be too judgemental because a man is not the sum of what he is BUT the totality of what he might be…like the tip of an iceberg, major portions of our subconscious mind is submerged that we may not realise its power and full potentials…the more suggestions or opinions we can get through others or divergent thinking, the better would be your chance to arrive at the best option through convergent thinking..so brader I sincerely concur with the quote “feedback is the breakfast of champions…it’s through feedback that we can know what works and what doesn’t work…so we can always readjust and realign our directions in order to arrive at the desired outcomes….as long as goals are clear, stick to them! Dios te bendiga! Dieu vous binesse! GBU!

Hello Sarawak politicians, I am not sure how you perceive blogging, but, one thing for sure, it seem that you generalised bloggers as anti-government.
Every time you go to the media to talk about blog, you refer the bloggers as anti-establishment. Heck, it hurts so many other bloggers who do not write about politics.
Excuse us, dear Sarawakian politicians, next time, when you address bloggers, please address them with the category they fall into. If its politics, then address them as POLITICAL BLOG WRITTERS!
Some of my blogger friends do not write about politics, so, please do not generalised the term blogging as per se.
And the media, should identify what type of blog are these politicians referring to.
Anyway, there are so many different type of blogs – photography, hobbies, finance, sports, food, music, video, etc. Do you get it? I am sure your children have a blog by now.

I have got the feeling that some of these “dear Sarawakian politicians” are still learning how to use computers. Thus their lacked of understanding about blog or internets is well understood.

CA, I believe the whole unit does not understand what is a blog and how it works (the technical part of it).
Their children understand what blogs are.. they should ask them first.
Hopefully the politicians and the media will identify the nature of the blog first before making any general statement.

UK – refer to YB Andy’s response, I am quite confused when he kept on saying “cover” . Don’t mean to offend the YB at all. But I supposed cover your back or backsides! It’s not that I am so bothered whose backsides are being covered, some backsides as you know are better of being uncovered. I am just wondering the “need” for such cover. I am wondering what’s the implications of such need? CA

UK – thanks for the clarifications. I think as time goes by our Dayak leaders will come to term and HAVE TO accept the fact that not everyone has bad intention. Even the people who are critical of the Government or what you may call as political bloggers – are not all bad.
If I were the politician who is being critised, I would respond via my own blog – just like what Dr Mahathir is doing. Not unless the truth hurt or there is so much to hide. Or a serious need to try to find cover (for backsides) instead of facing the bullets. Why are so many questions by bloggers to the politicians simply cannot or remained unsanswered?. I think they should try to respond. Gone are the days that politicians think people as stupid and easily bluffed or being brushed asides. They should realise that most bloggers or internet forumers have certain level of education unlike many longhouse dwellers.
Well, I am really hoping that they could think of some clever ideas to handle bloggers – the information technology isn’t going backward, it will keep on advancing itself – thus no point to deny.
Also, we have seen in West Malaysia, it is really counter productive to try to challenge some credible bloggers by setting up your own blogger group to counter attack them. It has got backfired.
The bottom line is simple. Don’t treat people like fools. Instead of fighting, punishing, them, etc. why not work with them, listen to their problems?
Sorry for digressing UK, you have done well and hope you keep up with the community service work. The truth and goodness will always prevail for you – so have no fear.

Calling bloggers as anti establisment is rather a sweeping statement made without any clear evidence. I am one of those who do not side any political parties or leaders. Not all bloggers/those surfing the internet are interested in politics. Politic is not just about government. It can happen anywhere- in the office(office politics), family politics, organizational politics. Do not limit the definition of politics.

CA, do you know that every time RumahDayak.com organise something, people (especially politicians) will sure ask what is RD motive. It is simple, RumahDayak.com is a social networking portal for anyone who wishes to be a member. Yes, some members do discuss about politics (and that is entirely their personal views and do not represent RumahDayak.com as a social portal), and we ensure that it is being moderated and will not hesitate to delete or ban any members that raise issues that may result in creating unnecessary tension and disunity among members, etc.
Just like the recent MERCY Malaysia mission where I, being a one of the committee members (to represent the Dayak) to raise fund for the Miri Citizen Shelter, agreed to bring MERCY to Rh. Aji, Sg. Selepin in Bakong, since they have a much larger population and we could reach out to a wider audience. It was a medical mission anywhere, although RumahDayak.com were given the chance to give a motivation talk (which I did not agree to for obvious reason that our Dayak politicians do not envy us giving such talk for reasons best known for their political interest which we are not interested with).
Even noble charity work as such gets enquiries from the Dayak politicians for reasons that I do not know. If such charity work are not encourage, then these politicians should make it clear to people like myself and RumahDayak.com.. And we will not waste our time and energy in organising it.
Anyway, RumahDayak.com have done few charity work in the past and we make sure we inform YB Andy about it because we find it easier to communicate with him and for a second reason we are in Miri. He is a straight-to-the-point person, and that makes it easier for us to understand him. He knows what the Internet social networking is about since he is very much into it, with his accounts at Friendster and Facebook.
I do not want to compare him with our Dayak representatives but obviously we are very much comfortable with him, than any other Dayak Yang Berhormat.
Thank you to YB Andy to ‘cover’ RumahDayak.com in sense that he assist us in explaining to his counterparts in the DUN about what we are doing and why we are doing it.
Funny but can’t they just ask us directly! To the political units – you better get your information correct before you report our activities to your YB bos. It is this lowest level of political hierarchy who tend to create the wrong impression on visitors to their areas. If you don’t understand ASK!
