One of the motion adopted during our last BGM was for the purchase of a building with value of up to RM1million. Our Executive Council will be working on it. Besides that, Datuk Patinggi Jabu have given our Women and Youth Sections a grant amounting to RM30k for us to organise cultural events such as Weaving and Carving competition. We hope your organisation (as well as corporate) will support this events in order for it to be successful. Anthony, DAM has been working closely with other organisations like DBNA, KWOUNA, FORUM, etc in Miri. We have been playing host on behalf of the Dayak organisations in various activities in Miri. We sincerely hope that the other Dayak organisations like SADIA and SDNU to play a more active role in providing a platform for the Dayak communities in Miri to share their culture and positive values. Come 2011, the Iban community (once again) will be the host of the Divisional Gawai Dayak celebration and certainly we look forward to SDNU in Miri to lead the Organizing Committee as DAM has chaired the Committee in various occasion.
