In responding to the Star article by Stephen Then, here is a better photo to reflect what Batang Ai is today. The photo was taken on the front yard of Pudai longhouse.
We have satellite dishes as well as ASTRO disc.

Do give priority to ability to work and service the rakyat, above all seniority in the party,” said Vicker Andrew Enting, PRS Batang Ai Youth Chief.
He said they will accept whatever the party leadership decision, but would prefer a local political “true-blue” that go through thick and thin rather than parachute so-called “professional”.
BN is having an unwritten laws of fielding highly qualified candidate with at least a Bachelor degree or above benchmark.
Vicker, is probably appealing to Sarawak BN leadership to consider Nelson Naga Alam, late Datuk Dublin unting private secretary, whom is paperless.
In fact, another private secretary named “NELSON”, the soft spoken Nelson Balan Rining took over from his boss, Datuk Judson Tagal, who also died in tour of duty.
We are very disappointed that Naga Alam is being sidelined in favour of parachute candidate Mussen Lumoh.

Vicker, I agree with your first para. Yes, indeed we need to see our representative to have a proper public office.
An office with a qualified clerk, who can type, take minutes, use the phone, fax and email.
An office that is located at the heart of their constituency.
An office that is manned full time and to serve the rakyat regardless of what their political stand are.
Our reps should have a secretary (regardless of private or gov’t-paid) that can operate blackberry phones, email, internet, cameras and all sort of gadgets. Most importantly, our reps’ secretary knows the appropriate budget codes inline with what the SPU have.
Not only the secretaries can carry their bosses’ bag, but must be full of the correct gadget to feed his boss with the correct picture.
Lastly, but that’s not about it, we need the secretary to hang around more at SPU to know what is happening there and not when it comes to the DUN seatings (by then, all the goodies will be shared by those who are fast).
Information is power.. and I have no comment on the 2nd-6th para until it is officially announced by Pehin Sri and Dato Seri on the opposition side.

Batang Ai residents should enjoy steady development and economy prosperity with or without BN. It should the government prerogatives to invest in Batang Ai progress. The government should be efficient and corruption-free and have people-friendly agendas. Barison Nasional or Pakatan Rakyat or any other parties should just do your jobs and not give empty promises or even hurl threats at the people or grovel in your power & wealth.
