My prediction the previous day got 1/4 correct. I correctly predicted Paul Kim to be among the first four to leave the competition.

It looks like the problem of our trash bin being vandalise by MCC’s contractor is spreading throughout Miri. This reader emailed me these photos taken at Permy Jaya in Miri.

Iban Karaoke Competition

I took time off to watch the live session of Miri FM’s very own Iban Karoake Competition that was hosted by DJ Bana Jimbat and DJ Mary Bajang.

The auditorium was packed with supporters of the 17 contestants (4 didn’t turn up).

Crowd

It was not as grand as the Malaysian Idol but, it does have a class of its own especially for the Iban music industry. The past competitions have been able to produce many recording artist like Ricky Andrewson, etc.

The semi-final finished with 10 contestant going for the final in March.

The Mythology of the Pig
The mythological stories of the Pig are fascinating, as the Pig is always associated with knowing the next world. Pigs were wild in old China and Vietnam; they were powerful solitary animals that fed on acorns and corn and often devastated the harvests of farmers. In Celtic mythology, the pig was a supernatural animal and the herd of swine was regarded with the utmost respect.
