Johnny Chuat confirms his candidacy for Batang Ai

Johnny Chuat has confirmed with UchuKeling.com this morning that he is going to stand for the DUN seat of N.29 Batang Ai scheduled for polling on 7th April 2009.

He is in Lubok Antu this morning to get his nomination form. With this latest news, Batang Ai may see a three corner fight.

Back along the Borneo Highway and Kuching International Airport, Dayaks from various towns and cities are coming to the small town of Lubok Antu to witness the nomination day on Sunday.

This latest news from Johnny shall correct the article posted at The Broken Shield.

5. Johnny Chuat may not is contesting

Johnny Chuat, an Iban blogger portal owner and producer of Iban magazine called Pegari may not offer himself as an independent candidate, if information received by The Broken Shield is correct. It is understood that he has booked his ticket to go to an African country following his gas and oil company.

This makes the PKR camp happy as BN candidate was not doing well in last election in Engkari and the surrounding areas. Up-todate, eight nomination forms have been taken from the Election Commission.

Indai palau, anak mati enda ditusu

Seorang bayi lelaki yang baru beberapa hari dilahirkan meninggal dunia dipercayai kebuluran kerana tidak disusukan. Ibu bayi itu berpesta minuman keras sebaik sahaja keluar dari hospital.

Bayinya turut dibawa ke parti tersebut tetapi tidak disusukan langsung.

Apabila diperiksa, bayi itu didapati sudah tidak bernyawa dan mayatnya sudah dihantar ke hospital Miri untuk dibedah siasat.

Anang enda ingat ngecek nama kita enti sema kita ngundi di Batang Ai. Check nama ba SPR diatu.

JASA organised a concert for who?

We received some clarification on this concert yesterday. A spokesman for JASA Sri Aman informed UchuKeling.com that they did not organised the concert. The whole day event (a health clinic) was organised by the army. The army gave free health clinic and treatment, and, ended the event with a concert in the evening. The clinic had a good turnout but the concert was not well attended.

UchuKeling.com was also informed that Anwar’s visit was also not well attended. No figure was mentioned but it was not a good sign either.

BN New experience in Batang Ai

The JASA Department organized a concert in Lubok Antu last night to distract the voters to not go to Rh Sayat – where YAB Anwar is visiting. BN got a shock to see that only about 20 people turn up to attend the concert. This is BN first experience of people rejection.

Thank you to Dayakbaru on the report of the JASA organised concert. Good for them! 20 only came.. hahahaaa.. Itu lah, next time check mana pergi semua orang Batang Ai.

About 1,000 owners of outboard motors received their petrol rebate yesterday. Another 30,000 owners throughout the state will be receiving theirs soon. If your relative owns similar outboard motor and have not registered for the rebate, please visit the nearest Resident Office before end of March.

Land title

Now that the Land & Survey Superintendant have informed the people on the cause of the delay in issuance of land title, we hope to see the people of Batang Ai work closely and cooperate with the department to expedite the process.

Sometimes this kind of petty matters can delay the whole process and the rakyat is always on the losing end.
