MIRI: The best among the best modified turbo drag cars from Brunei, Sabah and Sarawak will be competing in the Borneo Cup International Drag Race at the old Lutong airstrip here on Sept August 26.
According to Miri Motor Sport Club chairman Jimmy Ngo, Brunei’s GHA Motor would be defending their title against entries from Miri, Bintulu, Sibu, Kuching, Labuan, Sandakan and Brunei.
The competition would be divided into three categories — Group A (4WD and 2WD), Group B, 400 below (Kancil Turbo and VT) and Group C, 1,600 (standard).
He said the race last year drew about 100 racers and they were expecting about the same number this year.

Meanwhile, the organising committee would inspect the cars and brief the participants at Park City Beverly Hotel from 8am to 5pm today (August 25).
